Does Plain have an unlimited mode?

Checked 2026-11-04: the official about page still says one puzzle a day and no endless feed. A creator reply the day before said a real unlimited mode was coming, and that the versions already online were not theirs.

A single runway under a daylight sky, one flight rather than an endless loop
One flight a day is the picture the about page describes. This drawing is original.
A short rising line with seven steps, not an infinite axis
Seven steps, then the day ends. Unlimited practice lives on other games, listed below.

The about page’s sentence is: “It’s deliberately small: one puzzle a day, the same for everyone, no endless feed.” The FAQ adds that past puzzles cannot be replayed for a score, so each day’s results stay comparable. Competitive mode is a live one-to-one match with seven number questions. It is not an endless feed.

What showed up in search anyway

Search results for “plain game unlimited” have put other domains above playplain.app. Two of them offer an endless mode. One of those about pages says it was made by the creators of Plain. I do not find that claim on playplain.app, so it stays a claim with one home. Their scoring page also uses different bands: Warm at 30 percent, Cold at 60 percent, and a 1,000 m ceiling per question. Official Plain uses Warm at 35 percent, Cold at double or half, and 10 metres per point. I am not calling those sites illegal. I am saying the official site does not link to them, and the numbers do not match.

The creator’s reply on 3 Nov 2026

On the Reddit launch thread, a reply dated 3 Nov 2026 says the unlimited mode people were playing was not from the creator, that somebody had faked it, and that a proper one would be released in the coming days. I re-read the about page on 4 Nov 2026. The “no endless feed” sentence was still there. The documented position is one daily puzzle, with an upcoming unlimited mode described by a single creator reply. The reply is an announcement, not proof that a feature shipped, and the about-page sentence alone cannot rule out a later experiment.

What you can play today if you want more than one puzzle

These are different games, not Plain. Fermi Unlimited at playdaily.org keeps going while you stay within ten times of the truth. Size It Up has an unlimited silhouette mode at sizeitup.games/unlimited; it trains ratio sense, and it is not a naming round. Estimania is five numeric estimates a day, scored out of 500, and it is daily rather than endless. The official archive lets you study old targets and best answers, without a score. A wider table is on games like Plain.
